“The Plunge Before The Rise”

He turns his back on you,

hides his face.

According to him everything is wrong

and nothing is going right at all.

All happiness has left him

and you don’t know what to do.

Moving to face him,

you can see his eyes

as they slowly look up at you.

Those deep imploring eyes,

silently telling you

what he cannot say out loud,

begging you to do something,

before it’s too late.

Reaching out,

your arms encircle him in a tight embrace

as you tell him how much you love him

and that everything will be OK.

When you finally pull away,

there’s a smile on his face

and a whispered “thank you” on his lips.
