River of Life

The river of life,

is no ordinary river.

It does not flow,

on this earth.

Nor in fiction,

or non-fiction books.

It flows within,

our human veins.

It can give us life,

or it can give us death.

Some seek this river,

but none can find it for thousand years to come.

Nobody knows where this river ends,

nor where this magnificent river begins.

But once I heard,

the wind whisper in my ear.

Saying,

it ends with your last breath,

and begins with a single heart beat.

That my friends,

is the river of life.
