at approximately ten thirty pm on a long June evening
you stabbed at the heavens with an index finger
showing me
dog-dragon-lion
in the cloud chameleon…

…we watched the sun set,
talked of tomorrows, pledged eternity…

four years later
you walk past me in the street…I wait for recognition to light your eyes, wait for reunion and talk of past-the-sunset, but nothing appears, you pretend you never knew me, walk on by.
