The Dancer

Gliding

Flitting

Swirling

Glinting

Dashing quickly about the stage,

En point, the dancer quickly changes.

Now happy, now sad, alive and then

Dead, it passes .

Smoothly

Deftly

Haltingly

Hauntingly

The story unfolds, the dancer

Goes through the movements, with

Practiced ease, never the same,

The emotions true.

Harrowed

Sorrowed

Defeated

Resurrected

The old art form is brought back

Those who follow it applaud, tears

Are swept away as the waves carry

The music away.

Pen

Ink

Paper

Words

Swiftly my dancer glides across the

Stage, never lifting, never stopping

As the music of words flows forward,

Never to hault till the end.
