Yea chapter 11’s up, finally. Sorry about the delay, I’m not allowed to write when my parents are home ‘cause they think I’m wasting time writing, do you think so? So anyways on with the story. Oh and by the way, the fluffiness might end in the chapter. And don’t worry I have only two more chapters to go.
Over the two weeks after they had met, Jesse and Matti had become closer and even more, had fallen in love with each other. But neither of them knows this. Meanwhile, Shaun and I had… well… become closer but not as close as I’d hoped, if you get where I’m coming from. But I had a plan to get closer to the one for me, no I had not plan to abscond/elope.
Yesterday. Matti and I had learnt that our parents weren’t our real parents. We had been adopted. I wasn’t horrified as such, but hell was I curious. Matti on the other hand was so “curious” as I was. He hadn’t spoken a word since yesterday. I don’t really know why Matti was like this but I occasionally caught an hint of anger, betrayal… disbelief, poor guy.
Like I said, I was curious about the adoption, I mean who wouldn’t apart from Matti. There were so many questions to ask, so many things to find out for example: who just were our real parents? Why did they give us up for adoption? And I was going to find all the answers, with the help of Shaun.
Today was Saturday, Shaun had come over, and it was a perfect day for my plan to come into action muahahaha. Sorry.
“Shaun,” I said in my sweetest voice as I cam into my room, “ can you do me a favour?”
“What is it?” Shaun replied not looking up from Kingdom Hearts 2
I walked up slowly up to him, knelt down, “Well… erm, yesterday Matti and I found out that we were adopted” I started playing with my fingers.
Shaun paused the game and looked up at me,
“What?”
“Matti and I were adopted,” I repeated
He stared at me for a second, “ you’re not joking are you?”
I shook my head.
“How come?” he asked
“It’s a long story,” I replied not wanting to talk, I was feeling nervous.
“I have all day,”
“Fine, I’ll tell you.”
SHAUN“About 15 years ago,” Chris began “ Salina and Anthony, my foster parents, had been trying to have a baby for 3 years, but couldn’t. so they decided to adopted me, but Matti wouldn’t let me go so they adopted him too. Matti was 2 years old and I was just 1. My foster parents don’t know anything about my real parent, neither did the adoption agency.” Chris stopped and looked at me.
“Well that’s about it,” Chris smiled, a smile that was equivalent to the beauty of the ocean.
“Oh. So… erm… what was this favour who wanted me to do for you?” I asked not knowing exactly what to say.
“Well, you know the part where I said that no one knows about my parents. Well…” Chris started playing with his fingers again, “ I kinda lied. ‘cause some man brought Matti and I to the orphanage but he insisted that he wasn’t our dad.” He looked down.
“Well the guy left his address and apparently he hasn’t moved nor is he dead.”
I cocked an eyebrow, figuring out what exactly Chris wanted.
“And you want me to accompany you to this guy’s house, because you wanna find out if he’s your real dad.”
“Wow, you’re good,” Chris shifted closer to me, “ So you’re answer is?”
“No” I looked away.
Chris jumped in front of me.
“Please,” he pouted knowing well that I couldn’t resist, that is until now.
“No,” I replied.
My answer stunned Chris, seeing as this was the only time that I’d resisted his infamous pouting technique.
“I didn’t think I’d resort to this” he said.
His forehead shimmered and then, okay this is the freakiest thing, a little blue-purple ball appeared right in the middle of his forehead. I stumble backwards.
“Okay. Chris there’s some kinda of sphere on your forehead,”
“Yah, I know. I found out I could do this this morning. It’s an extension of my power, no duh there. I think it’s some kind of psychic blast ‘cause this is what happens whenever I use it on an object,”
He turned around to face an empty wooden shelf, the sphere came out of his forehead and sped towards the shelf. The moment the sphere hit, it entered the shelf. Two seconds later, the shelf exploded. I felt my eyes widen.
“Wow, now that is power,” I commented
“I know thing is I haven’t seen what it does to people and I don’t really want to test it on you but I will if I have to”
I moved backwards instinctively. Well you would too is there was a guy, sitting right in front of you, with some awesome power that he wanted to test on you. Chris didn’t feel the same way, hurt flashed through his eyes for a second but then disappeared.
“I was only joking,” he said reading the fear on my face, “I’m not really gonna use it on you.”
I inched forwards, trying to make Chris believe that I wasn’t really scared of him. I wasn’t really scared of him, I think but like I said before.
“So will you help me?” he asked again this time making puppy dog eyes.
He was so incredibly cute; I’d never seen him making puppy dog eyes. This time I couldn’t resist his cute charm.
“Fine,” I sighed.
Chris jumped on me in happiness, I froze felling heat rush up to meet my already warm cheeks. Part of me wanted to hug him back, but before I could Chris let go.
“Sorry, hope I didn’t make you feel awkward.” Chris turned away, cheeks aflame, his hair covered his eyes though.
Silence.
It seemed Chris had managed to make he and I feel awkward.
The silence was deafening. I didn’t want to be the one to speak. Chris has if reading my mind spoke first.
“So should we get going?” he asked.
“Err… yah.” Chris stood and walked to the kitchen.
MATTI
Chris walked in through the open door. I was trying to make myself some breakfast. He skipped (literally) to a cabinet, opened it and got some chips and two bottle of coke. He then proceeded to stuff them into a duffel bag which he then stung onto his back. He was going somewhere with Shaun.
“And where are you going?” I spoke my first words since learning that I had been adopted.
Chris seemed startled that I had spoken. He recovered.
“Erm, Shaun and I are thinking of, err how should I put this. Goingonapicnic,” he rushed the last sentence so I didn’t quite catch them.
“English, please?” you can see how much I cared for my brother by coming out my self-seclusion.
“We’re going on a picnic.”
It seemed the two friends got closer to each other with each passing day, aw young love.
“Okay.” fine I let him off easy. Criteria
Chris was hiding something from me, something to do with us being adopted. Chris skipped out happily, moments later I heard the door close. Something was wrong, well going to be wrong. Chris was gonna get himself into trouble for reasons that I do not know. I needed someone to help me stop Chris, what ever he was planning to do. Okay now I sound like I’m one of those people who are trying to stop some random villain.
Jesse.
I walked out of the kitchen, up the stairs and into my little cosy room. I use the word cosy loosely. On the walls of my room were posters of things that were deemed worthy of being on my wall. A small table, complete with desk lamp, stood in a corner of the room, on it were most of my work e.g. drawing, writings etc. A wardrobe stood right of the table, on top of which were shoes and thing that I didn’t want (most of them clothes people bought me). Drifts back to the table, there my phone. I walked over to it picked it up and called Jesse.
Ring. Jesse picked up on the third ring.
“Matti, that you?” his voice came from the other end, I nearly swooned.
Wow that was weird.
“Yah. Jesse I need your help.”
There ended it, it’s not supposed to be a cliffy, just an end. Next chapter will come up pretty soon I hope.
