Note: Ymir, the frost giant killed by Odin to create the world, made me think of this astronomical phenomenon.
Here lies the grave of a colossal star
Its corpse expulsed across the light-years
Immolating all that stood in its path
A hushed silence falls on the galaxy—
Witnesses to a spectacular death
And as everyone chanted their farewells
A new sound halted their mourning song
For in these gases of destruction
Young life awakens for the first time—
Infant lungs inhaling their first breath
