Tired

Give me dreams, give me nightmares

Give me unconscious ecstasies

Or give me the most terrible ghouls

That the human mind can conceive.

Let the deep, dark water of sleep

Wash over my mind and free me

From these overwhelming insecurities.

Any bad dream would be far better

Than the reality facing me now.

I want to lay down and slip into the blackness

Of a fantasy world, good or bad.
