Eyes of the sea.
Whorls of aqua, emerald.
Silver streams.

Scarlet foam.
Stained with blood and
crushed roses and
broken promises and
the lipstick tube
Smeared across the broken mirror
and thrown into the dark waters
Of depression.

The sand burns the
Innocent lily-white feet
And the glitter on the water
A liquid dream.

The sun is snuffed
Extinguished
Beneath the heavy cloak of night

A congragation of stars
A conglomerate of sparkling diamonds
Need to reach them…
But they are eons
away.
Falling.

Wind whipping
Faster and stronger
Whispering, demanding, coaxing
As the daughter
Still laughing
Cries salty ocean tears
And gives herself
To the sea.

White corpse, lost soul.
Drifting
Going
Gone.
Under,
To where the sunlight never burns
And streaming silver eyes
Are sightless.
