Chapter 4

SAMANTHA’S POV

It was Friday, 9:50am, and Samantha was saw on the kitchen, finishing her breakfast with her brother. “You’ve been very quiet lately.”

“I have nothing to say, so why bother talk?” Her brother had been trying to insist and make her tell what happened that made her be so quiet this weekend, but he’d had no success. Besides, Samantha wouldn’t want to tell the guy she’d been going out had suddenly stopped calling, and going out with her.

Why? She didn’t know. He didn’t answer her phone calls so she could talk to him and try to know why he had back off this suddenly. Maybe he was already sick of her, but he could well have the guts to answer her phone calls and say he didn’t want to go out with her anymore. But, not even that he’d done since the day he promised he’d take her out again.

Four days had passed and since that day, Samantha hadn’t gone out with anyone, so she hadn’t had any fight with her brother. “Come on, sis. Tell what’s wrong. You’ve been weird since Tuesday.”

“Aaron, stop insisting. I said I’m fine for a million times!” She got up aggressively and said, “I’m going to grab my books, I’ll be waiting by the car.”

And she did exactly what she said. After grabbing her books from her room, she went downstairs again and walked out of the house. Since her brother was the one who had the car keys, she just leaned against the car and waited for him.

She didn’t wait for a long time, though; her brother came out of their house a minute later, ready to go to school with her.

So, only five minutes later, Samantha was already following a different path from her brother, since they had classes in opposite places of school. That was good for Samantha; at least she didn’t have her brother around her every time, trying to know everything about her life.

Kalli was near her locker when Samantha finally found her. “Good morning.” She said with no emotion at all, just like she’d been talking for the past four days.

“Hey, girl. Still sad about Dave?”

“I don’t want to talk about it, Kalli.”

“You need to talk about it, Sam. I’m not going to say I told you so, but you need to recognize that Dave just wanted to have fun with you, and nothing more. Otherwise he’d have told you something for the past four days.” God, couldn’t she be anymore cruel?

“He said he’d go out with me the day after, Kalli! Our dinner went great!” Unless that part where Dave had started talking about Jack. “Why the sudden change? Why doesn’t he even answer my calls?”

“I wish I could tell you, Sam, but I don’t know either.” They started walking towards their classroom since it had already ringed. “You need to let it go. Let’s go out tonight. At least you’ll dance and you’ll stop thinking about him since you don’t even think when you’re dancing.”

“What if he’ll be there?” She hadn’t gone to the Extreme since the last time she’d gone with him. Somehow, she was afraid of finding him there and confronting him. She wanted to see him, but at the same she didn’t want to know the reason to why he’d stopped calling her.

“Well… you and he will just have to deal with it. I mean…” Kalli paused before she walked in the classroom, “He will have to deal with you.”

DAVE’S POV

He’d spent the whole four days quiet and everyone had noticed since he was not the type of being sit in a corner and not talk the whole time, but since he’d discovered Samantha was Aaron’s best friend, it seemed like… something inside him had been in pain the whole time.

Probably because he’d suddenly stopped calling and going out with Samantha and he knew she’d be wondering why the hell he hadn’t answered to her calls so far. Well, it was for their own good. Aaron would be crazy if he found out about her sister going out every night with a guy she’d just met almost two weeks ago and Dave would be dead by the time Aaron would be taking care of her sister. How could he be so stupid to the point of going out with his best friend’s sister and not have known she was his sister? How the hell had that happened?

“Thinking about the same thing you’ve been thinking for the past four days?” Aaron asked him. They were assisting History class, but since this teacher was one of those old men that didn’t pay attention to anything unless what he was saying, they could talk at their will.

“Nah, I’m fine, man.”

“No, you aren’t, Dave. I know you.”

“Aaron, please.” Dave begged, “Stop insisting. It’ enough to have Kerry and my own parents bothering me, I don’t need my best friend to take their side now.”

“God, you almost look like my sister.” It was the first time in four days that Aaron talked about his sister with Dave.

“Oh really?” Now, he found himself more interested in this conversation with Aaron, “Do you know what’s wrong with her.

“No, she’s like you. She doesn’t tell anyone what she has. I haven’t even been fighting with her because she’s been quiet! That’s a miracle, man. My sister and I are always fighting with each other! I can’t seem to understand what happened since Monday.” Yeah, but Dave knew what happened.

“Do you have any idea?”

“I think it’s about a guy.” That was right there, next to him. “Although she told me she’d gone with Kalli and her mother, I’m almost sure now that she went to have dinner out with a guy, otherwise, why would she be so down since then?”

Yeah, why would she? Sarcastic thoughts ran through his mind.

“Is she that down?”

“Yeah, man. She’s always smiling and laughing, not to mention she’s always pissing me off, but this week she has done none of that.” Was this the impact Dave had had on her since he’d stopped paying her attention? God, he felt so bad. Why had this happened? Why did she have to be Aaron’s sister?

“It’s probably nothing, you’ll see. Maybe you think it’s a guy because you always think it’s a guy when your sister gets hurt.” Dave said, trying to make Aaron think her sister was sad over some other thing other than what Dave had done to her.

“Maybe, but I’m almost sure it’s a guy. Man, I swear that if it’s a guy and I know him, I’ll kill him. It’s enough that her last boyfriend cheated on her, she doesn’t need another scumbag to hurt her again.” Aaron seemed serious and pissed off.

“Jack?”

Aaron immediately looked at him and raised an eyebrow, “How do you know?”

“You’ve talked about him.”

“Really? Hum, I don’t remember. Anyways, yeah, Jack. That piece of shit cheated on her on New Year’s Eve.”

“What did she do?”

“My sister? Nothing. As for me…”

Dave’s eyes suddenly widened, “You did something to the guy?”

“Of course! You think I’d let him get away with the shit he did to my sister? No way, man. Since he already knew me, I couldn’t do anything but, I asked Matt and a couple of guys from our team and two days after what he did to my sister, he went to police saying three guys had beaten him to death.”

“Are you serious?” Oh shit. He was in deep shit if Aaron fund out that his sister was this down because of him.

“Yeah. Of course nobody found the guys and he wasn’t beaten to death, but my sister never got to know I was the one who made the guys beat him.” Aaron paused, “I hate seeing my sister hurt. Whoever hurts her, gets hurt too.”

Man, he didn’t know this aggressive part of Aaron. Aaron! He was such a calm guy… But, now Dave knew that when it came to his sister, Aaron wouldn’t be his best friend.

Dave asked nothing more to his friend about his sister. He didn’t want Aaron to notice he had some kind of interest in his sister… When the bell finally rang and they walked out of the classroom, Dave saw Kerry already waiting for him, outside.

“Hey babe.” He said, pushing her against him when his hands managed to grab her top. He kissed her, “How are you?”

“Fine, and you? Did you get some sleep yesterday?”

“Yeah, I’m fine now.”

“Good.” She smiled and then she eliminated the inches that separated her mouth from his neck, “Feel like making love to me after classes?”

“Sure.”

“And then you want to have dinner out and maybe go to the Extreme and have some fun with your hot girlfriend?” When she spoke the words Extreme and have some fun, Dave immediately thought about Samantha once again. Somehow, he wasn’t being able of letting go of her. He had to, but he wasn’t succeeding in it. Why? Not even he knew.

“Baby?”

“Ah, yeah, sure.”

“Ok, you know, Annah is thinking about…”

Dave stopped listening to her when he stated paying attention to Aaron saying to Matt, “I think I’m going to talk to Kalli.”

“You know she won’t say anything to you, Aaron. She’s Sam’s best friend, I would she tell you something she know her sister doesn’t want you to find out? Sometimes you don’t even think, man.” Matt said, waving his head.

“I can try. She might tell me something.”

“Whatever. You want me to go with you?”

“Yeah. Let’s go, then.”

“… And she’s going to invite you, Aaron and M-”

He suddenly let go of Kerri, “I’m sorry to interrupt you baby, but I need to pee. You’ll keep telling me whatever you were telling me when I get back, ok?” He quickly kissed her forehead and went after Aaron and Matt before she could say something else that would stall him.

Dave had heard about Kalli, she was Samantha’s best friend, so what the hell she could say to Aaron that would let him find out Dave was the guy? If she was alone when Aaron found to see her, then maybe Dave would go with them, side by side, and listen to whatever she had to say.

At first, as Dave silently followed Dave and Matt, he didn’t call them. He let them keep going on their way until they found Kalli.

Dave had no idea Samantha had classes so far away from them. It was like; she had classes in the opposite side of the school where he had his classes. Well, that was good, because then, she couldn’t see him and he couldn’t see her in order to give in and go talk to her.

Suddenly Aaron and Matt stopped and Dave did the same. Seconds later, a brunette appeared in front of them, “Hi, Kalli.” Aaron said first.

“Hey.” She smiled sweetly to his best friend, “What are you doing around here? I thought you had classes far from here.”

“And I have…” He paused, “Where’s Sam?”

“She decided to stay inside the classroom while I came to the bathroom, why?”

“Nothing.”

She laughed, “I bet… You came to look for me, alone, so you could ask me stuff about Samantha.”

Wow. She knew him well enough to read him that easily. Usually, girls didn’t even know what he thought once. Annah was a clear example of it. “You know me.”

Well, since Samantha wasn’t near them, Dave decided to appear behind Aaron and Matt and introduce himself. She could know Samantha was going out with a guy named Dave or something, but since she hadn’t see him, she wouldn’t know how Dave was, thus, she wouldn’t know he was the guy Samantha was going out. So, without losing anymore time, Dave walked towards Aaron and Matt and when he reached them, he said, “Hello, guys.”

Aaron and Matt looked over their shoulders and saw a smiling Dave, “What are you doing here?” Aaron asked first, “I thought you were with Kerry.”

“And I was, but she started babbling over something about Annah, and you know I don’t have the patience to listen to her gossiping, so I decided to look for you guys. Who is this?” He now looked at Kalli. She was indeed pretty, but maybe too innocent for him. “Aren’t you going to introduce me?”

Aaron rolled his eyes impatiently, “Kalli this is my best friend Dave, and Dave this is my sister’s best friend, Kalli.”

“Nice to meet you… Dave.” The way she said his name… He didn’t like it.

“The pleasure is mine, Kalli.” Dave said calmly. He shouldn’t worry. She was probably thinking if he was the guy Samantha had been going out and has suddenly dumped her. But, Dave soon cleared up her mind, “You’re really pretty, if I didn’t have a girlfriend, I’d definitely do you.”

Kalli’s jaw dropped, but her gaze turned softer.

Suddenly, Aaron raised his arm and looked at Dave, “She’s out of your league, Dave.”

She wasn’t, well, she was because Dave didn’t want her, but he knew what Aaron meant to say. She was out of his league because she was his and his sister’s friend, so he couldn’t do her the same thing he did to other girls… like Samantha for example.

“Calm down, man. I was just commenting on how good looking she was.” Well, not as good looking as Samantha… or Kerry. Well, she was good looking to Aaron; he liked brunette girls with waved dark brown hair and dark eyes… In fact, Kalli seemed his type. “I see that I’ve already bothered you, so I’ll be going back to my girlfriend. Nice meeting you, though.”

Winking his green eye to her, Dave turned around and left the three of them alone. But, he didn’t go back to Kerry, instead he walked through the corridors of that side of the school hoping he could take a peek at some classroom and see Samantha, although he knew he had to be careful in order to not get caught by her.

So, after some time looking inside some classroom, Dave finally found the classroom where Samantha was hiding. She was alone, leaning on the window, gazing at outside, at the football field, where Dave had been practicing with his time the last couple of days. Luckily, he didn’t have any practice today.

Even when she wasn’t dressed to go out at night or to have dinner on a fancy restaurant, she was still hot. The simply halter top she had was great on her, not to mention her tight jeans that made her ass look… more than hot. He was facing her back, but he still imagined her eyes looking at him, asking him for a kiss, like she always did. Then, he’d kiss her pinkish lips softly, he’d explore her mouth without needing her permission, he’d move his hands around her hourglass figure and she’d moan in pleasure…

Out of a sudden, Dave turned his head around and said to himself, “Stop right there, Dave.”

He punched himself as he thought how stupid and needy he was being. How could he have these thoughts about Samantha? She was a sixteen year old girl that was his best friend’s sister and wasn’t hotter than his own curvaceous girlfriend!

So why the hell couldn’t he stop thinking about her since he stopped talking to her on Monday? It’s not like he’d been going out with hr for so long to not be capable of letting her go!

“What’s the matter, Dave? You think you’re so stupid that you can’t help to beat yourself?”

Dave laughed when he looked in the direction of the voice. Nick stood there, looking at him, a smile on his lips, ready to provoke Dave. “Why don’t you just disappear, Nick? No one would miss you.”

“You think? I don’t agree with you. A lot of girls would miss me.” Nick walked till him. “Are you so desperate to cheat on Kerry once again that you look for girls inside classrooms? Doesn’t any girl pays attention to you? Or do you like the nerd ones now?”

“Just shut the hell up, Nick. I don’t have the patience to be here listening to your shitty stuff.”

“Someone’s on a bad mood.” He paused and then turned his head to the right, where Samantha’s classroom was. “Who were you watching?”

Before Dave could do something, Nick looked inside the classroom and saw the girl. When he looked back at Dave, his eyebrow was raised and in fact, he was serious. “Are you cheating on Kerry with Aaron’s sister now?”

“No!” Dave reacted right away. But then, another thought appeared on his mind, “How do you know she’s Aaron’s sister?”

“I talked to her yesterday. I’ve heard she was on this school and I just had to found out who was Aaron’s sister.” Nick looked at the classroom once again, “She can be only sixteen, but she’s already one hell of a woman.”

“Don’t you dare messing around with her.” Dave said, before he could truly think about what he said.

“Why? You’re already fooling around with her or you’re just warning me that Aaron will kill the guy that will fool around with his sister?” Nick laughed, “I do what I want, Dave. And If I want to fool around with Aaron’s sister I will. Still… I’m curious. Have you been fooling around with your best friend’s sister?”

“No, I haven’t. I wouldn’t do that to Aaron.” Oh, how he was lying… Well… At the same time he wasn’t. Since the moment he found she was his sister, he stopped going out with her. It had hurt her - and him, a bit – but it was for their best.

“Hum… Ok. Well. I’ll see you around, Dave.”

Then, he turned around and left. Somehow, it seemed that Dave had stuck to the impression that Nick was just like him, impressed with Samantha… That mattered to Dave. He, himself, could be one hell of a bastard, but Nick was surely worse than him with girls and with Aaron’s help or not, he wouldn’t let Nick fool around with Samantha.

AARON’S POV

“Bullshit, Kalli! I know you’re lying!”

“If you’re so secure its bullshit then why the hell did you came to look for me say that I’m saying its bullshit! Then, it wasn’t worth you coming here!” Kalli yelled at him.

“Guys, come on, calm down.” Matt said, now between him. Aaron was calm! He just wanted Kalli to stop lying to him and say the truth!”

“If you want I can call my mum and she’ll say Sam went to have dinner with us” What more can I say?”

“Well, you can start saying why my sister is so depressed in the first place! You’re her best friend, aren’t you?” Aaron told practically everything to Dave or Matt so he was sure Samantha and Kalli also told everything to each other.

“Why don’t you ask her? You’re her brother!”

“You’re her best friend! You know damn well she doesn’t tell me anything!”

“Because you act like a stupid brother when she tells you something!”

“I just don’t want her to get hurt!”

“Well, she’ll have to get hurt to learn her lessons by herself!”

By the time Aaron looked around them, everyone was gazing at them, probably wondering why Aaron, one of the most popular guys in school, was arguing with a seventeen year old girl that had the nerve to yell at him too.

Anyways, Aaron got back at his fight with Kalli. “Ok, you made your point.” He had to admit that in what she said, she was right; Samantha had to learn her mistakes by herself.

“Of course, Aaron.” Now, she was using a more sweet tone of voice, “You can’t always be there for her, Aaron. If she’s hurt because of a guy, let her be. It’s probably her fault too. She has to deal with it. I’m sure that if it’s because a guy, it’s not one like Jack.”

It better not be. If she was like that because some other fuck headed had cheated on her, Aaron would talk to Matt and they would do what they did to Jack. “So, you’re saying it’s because of a guy?”

“No, Aaron.” Kalli seemed tired of being there, talking to him, “I was just giving you an example. Look, if you want to cheer her up, try to take her to the Extreme tonight and if you want her to get better, stop insisting. Anyway, I’m going back to the classroom, Samantha’s alone there. I’ll see you later if you manage to take her to the Extreme.”

Before he could get the chance of asking her more stuff, Kalli turned around and walked away from him and Matt. “I think you should do what she said.” Matt started saying when they were heading back to their classroom, “Make her have fun tonight.”

“Yeah, maybe I’ll do that.”

By the time they got to their class, Dave was already there, leaned on the wall, with his arms crossed at his chest, “What’s wrong?”

“What would be wrong, Aaron?”

“Kerry?”

“Who else?”

“What did you fight about this time?”

“Something about me not being with her on this break…. She’s so whinny, lately! God, I hate this!”

“Then break up with her.” Aaron simply said. If it was up to Aaron, he’d broken up with Kerry a long time ago. Kerry was a person that needed a lot of attention, something Dave was not always up to give her, since he was himself a person who needed a lot of attention but, at the same time, space for himself. Kerry didn’t give him any of it.

“If I didn’t love her so much, I’d break up with her.”

“Honestly, man.” Matt walked towards him and leaned on the wall, next to Dave, “I think you’re only with Kerry because you’re already used to her and having her as your girlfriend. Who, on his mind, would cheat on his girlfriend every two weeks with a different girl, unless he didn’t love her?”

“I actually agree with Matt.”

“Come on, guys. I know you don’t like Kerry but-”

“It’s not that Dave, it’s just-”

“You know what; I really don’t want to hear this.” And so, he left off and disappeared into the crowed.

“He’s been grumpy, lately, hasn’t he?”

“Yeah.” Aaron agreed. And usually, his best friend wasn’t like this. He was always ready for everything, but lately… Aaron felt he’d lost some reason to do something.

He shared the same bitter emotions that Samantha lately… But, of course it couldn’t be because of one another. Samantha knew Aaron had a best friend named Dave and that he had a girlfriend and she surely wouldn’t fool around with him. As for Dave, he’d be smart enough to know Samantha was his sister. Therefore, any possible make up between Dave and his sister was impossibly.

Yeah, Aaron liked to believe in that.

When the bell rang and Aaron walked in the classroom, Dave came back a few moments later. This time, Aaron didn’t talk with him the whole day. It was like, people tried to talk with him, but he just answered like that. Aaron was a calm guy but when answered in the way Dave answered… He’d lose all of his normal calm that characterized him.

SAMANTHA’S POV

It was half past 3pm in the afternoon when Samantha finally got home, after walking from school to her house with Kalli. Of course her friend had stayed behind since her house was closer to school than Samantha’s.

The first thing she did when she got to her room and placed her books on the desk was to reach her phone and call Dave, for the millionth time. She probably was being a pain in the ass for him if he’d stopped talking to her because he was sick of her, but after the great dinner they had – the part where she talked about her ex boyfriend doesn’t count – Samantha didn’t believe Dave had just stopped calling her because he was sick.

He didn’t pick up, like he hadn’t picked up for the past four days, but this time, Samantha left a voice message, “Hey Dave, it’s me, Samantha… Is everything ok? I just wanted to know why you suddenly stopped calling me, I mean… we were fine after the dinner we had… Something happened between us that I don’t know? Hum… Well, I’d appreciate if you called me back. Bye.”

She fell on her bed. She still couldn’t believe a guy had left her again. The first guy she was far more interested than any other since she’d left Jack, had left her without

saying a single word. Well, that only taught her to be even more careful with guys… since she clearly hadn’t learned her lesion with Jack’s situation…

It was little past four when she heard someone closing the door downstairs. It was probably Aaron since at Fridays he was only out of school at 4pm. Samantha didn’t walked out of her room to see her brother, but he came up to her, some minutes after, “Hey there, Sammy.”

“Hey,” She smiled weakly, after saying he could get in her room. “I’m sorry I didn’t wait for you, but I just wanted to go home.”

“It’s ok.” Aaron walked till her and sat on her bed, next to her. “I-”

“Aaron, if you’re going to insist on why I am like this once again, you can get out of my room.”

“Calm down. I wasn’t going to insist again. I talked to Kalli.”

“She told me.” And of course Aaron knew that. Kalli and Samantha told everything to each other and kept no secrets from one another.

“I’m not going to bother you anymore, unless you really want to talk about it. Anyways,” He quickly changed the subject so he wouldn’t piss her off, like they always pissed off each other, “I came here to ask you if you wanted to have some fun tonight, at the Extreme. Kalli gave me the idea; you need to have fun, so we’ll get some fun, tonight.”

“This doesn’t even sound like you.” Samantha laughed sadly as she started to lie down on her bed, but placed her head over her brother’s legs. “I don’t feel like going out tonight.”

“We haven’t gone out together for almost a month!”

“Yeah, because you suck when I go out with you, always bossing around, telling me what to do. You know I hate that!”

Aaron laughed, “If I promise I won’t control you this much tonight, will you go? You know you need to let go of whatever it’s on your mind, Sammy.” He started petting her head.

“Promise?”

“I give you my word, Sammy.”

“Kalli knows about this?”

“Yeah, I called her when I didn’t know if you’d gone home or not and after talking to her on the phone for a while, I told her I’d manage to convince you and said I’d pick her up around midnight to go to the Extreme with us.” There he was, acting like a nice big brother! Why couldn’t he act like this more often? The answer occurred to her fast: maybe because then, he wouldn’t truly be her older brother, since older brother tend to be very over protective with younger siblings, especially sisters. Their relation was the clear example of that.

“You know… Don’t tell Kalli I told you this, but did you know she had this huge crush on you? And when I say big, I really say it was huge and lasted for years!”

“Please, Sam. I was just her friend, how could she have a crush on me?” Somehow, his brother’s cheeks seemed to have blushed a bit.

“Well, duh, because you were always with us and paid her a lot of attention! She was totally in love with you, Aaron. But we two knew you wouldn’t date her for a couple of reasons: 1. you were both too young and 2. At the time you didn’t care much about girls.”

“Shut up, Sam.” Not enjoying the conversation very much, Aaron got up quickly.

“Hey! You hurt me you idiot!”

Trying to change the conversation, Aaron said, “You’re getting back at your old self.”

“Yeah, but that doesn’t mean we’re finished. Let me ask you one thing and then I’ll stop talking about this.” Samantha got up and looked into her brother’s green-bluish eyes, “Would it made any difference if Kalli had a crush on you, now?”

“Sam, I’m your brother, you shouldn’t be asking me this.”

“Stop whining and tell me the truth.” She rolled her eyes, showing how impatience she was getting.

“God, I don’t know, Sam! Maybe, I admit, Kalli has changed and has become a fine girl but… I don’t know, I guess it would be weird since I know her all of my life and dating her would be like… weird, that’s all.”

“Oh my god!” She pointed at her brother, “You’re blushing, Aaron! I’ve never seen you blushing because of an issue like this one!”

“Oh shut up, Samantha.” He walked till her door and said, “Just make sure you’re ready at midnight.” Then, he walked out of her room, closing the door behind him and leaving her alone for the rest of the afternoon and evening.

It was almost midnight when Samantha heard her brother once again, calling her, “Come on, Sam! It’s time!”

“One minute!” She yelled back, at the same time she finished putting her long silver earring on her other ear. She felt fine like this. The short black dress with a hot neckline would surely bother her brother but she felt really good on it. Her silver heels combined with her silver earrings as her dark eye makeup combined with her dress.

She went downstairs after giving one last look at herself, but when she got there, she knew she’d heard this, “Where the hell do you think you’re going? To a runway?”

“Please, Aaron. This is how girls dress at night.” Samantha rolled her eyes as she passed by him and opened the door, “Stop saying stuff like that, you’re going to embarrass me in front of your friends!”

“Whatever. I just want to see guys looking at you in ways that I’ve caught them looking before!”

“You should be proud of having a hot sister, then!” Samantha walked till her side of the car and got in, “That sounded a bit weird, but screw it. Let’s get Kalli and head off to the Extreme.”

“Man, you’ve changed. You’re not depressed anymore?”

“I was never depressed in the first place.” Samantha avoided looking at her brother as he put on the seatbelt. Why the hell had he talked about that issue? She was fine before he started talking about something that reminded her of Dave! She spent her afternoon trying to study and she’d spend some time after dinner choosing the clothes she’d wear tonight, but now, now that she felt like having fun was when Aaron decided to make her think about him…

What if she found him there? What would they do? Besides, she was with her brother! Those thoughts made her mind so busy that Samantha didn’t even notice Kalli had got in the backseat. “Sam? Sam!” Kalli nudged her and Samantha finally woke up to reality.

“I’m glad you decided to come.”

“Yeah, me too.” Honestly, it didn’t look such a good idea now. She was afraid she’d find Dave there and wouldn’t know what to do… to make it even harder for her, her brother was there…

Ok, so she needed to take a deep breath. Dave probably wouldn’t be there and she was having these unnecessary thoughts.

As soon as they got to Extreme, they took like ten minutes to find a space to park the car since the Extreme was already getting busy; after all, it was Friday night.

After locking their car, Aaron said, “I invited some of my friend to come too, that’s ok for you two?”

“Fine by me. My boyfriend’s coming, actually.” Kalli didn’t look at Aaron when she said that.

“Oh… Ok. It’s fine. It’s not like we wouldn’t be together the whole time, near each other, right?” Samantha looked at Aaron. What the hell? He seemed weird when he said that.

“Uh… Yeah, I guess.” Kalli probably was wondering the same thing than Samantha; Aaron was probably a little bit crazy. But maybe Samantha had had something to do with this… Maybe she shouldn’t have told him Kalli had had a big crush on him. He was probably thinking she still liked him… Her brother could be so dumb, sometimes.

They walked in the Extreme and Samantha felt the heat right away and saw some guys looking at her but, she was more worried in looking around to see if she could spot Dave.

They reached the sofas where Aaron used to stay when he came to the Extreme. She looked around and saw Matt, recognized Annah, the blue eyed girl that had bothered her on her first day of school, trying to know if she was Aaron’s sister, and the other one that Samantha didn’t liked on bit. Kerry was turned at her, but she wasn’t looking at her, she was kissing this blond guy, whose back was turned at Samantha.

“Annah, this is sister, Samantha and her friend Kalli.” Aaron said, as he started to introduce them to his friends.

“Really? She said she wasn’t your sister when I asked her!” Annah told Aaron, pointing at Samantha and Kalli. “Why did you lie?”

“Because I thought you’d probably spend your entire time after me once you found out I was Aaron’s sister.”

“I would I do that?”

“I thought you might like Aaron and-”

“Oh, I already understood.” Annah smiled. She actually seemed nice now, although her niceness didn’t go along with the provocative way she was dressed: a really mini skirt with a very tight and with a deep V neckline halter top that showed her perfect breasts. Not to mention she was probably wearing too much makeup. “But, I wouldn’t…”

Samantha stopped paying attention to her, once she looked around her, again. What if Dave appeared in front of her, just like that? How would she react?

“Yeah, anyways, if you’ve met Annah, then I’m sure you met Kerry.”

“Oh yeah.” She heard Kalli, “She was with Annah, too.” She didn’t listen to Kerry saying something in her defense.

“I see.” Samantha wasn’t looking at her brother, but she knew what he was thinking: what the hell did those two wanted from her? “And last but not least, my best friend Dave, Kerry’s boyfriend.”

If she acted by impulse or not, Samantha didn’t know, but the moment her brother pronounced the name Dave, her eyes immediately jumped from the dance floor to the boy who’d just turned around to look at her.

Her jaw dropped.

Her body froze.

Her mind stopped working.

Dave was right there, in front of her.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: Hey guys! I am so sorry I have been very absent lately! My exams finished about one and a half week ago but, I have been busy with other projects such as a story that has been knocking on my own mind though I don’t think I’ll publish it.

Anyways, because I really wanted to publish this chapter, I didn’t proof read the story so if you find some really stupid mistakes, pretend you didn’t find them, just this time, ok? ;)

Well, in the next chapter we will have Dave and Samantha’s reactions towards this happened. I intend to update this story again, instead of ATW or UL, I feel I can let you guys on cliffhanger ;)

Well, be nice and review ok? Maybe I’ll update sooner than you guys think ;)
