Being Words

I am

A collector of words,

Written neatly

On the inside of

A deep brown notebook.

I am Goethe, Voltaire

And ancient Greek proverbs.

I am small, but powerful,

Relatively unnoticed.

Beautiful,

But hidden by an exterior

That, though gilded,

Cannot compare.

I am eternal,

I am words.
