Caught in a Trap

I’m caught in a trap
Can’t seem to get out
Steep, slippery slopes
Of confusion and doubt

How did I get here
That I don’t know
But now I am trapped
Something won’t let me go

Events in my future
That have yet to occur
Or is it recent problems
Which make me suffer

All the things in my past
That I just can’t let be
It’s like the weight of the world
Is being pressed upon me

Whatever the reason
I am stuck here
No one to guide me
Only my fear

Fear of being alone
And left in this place
Never to feel
Any warmth on my face

I’m caught in this trap
