Where I Want To Go

I want to go to Paris,
And be an artist there.
I want to go to Switzerland,
And dance without a care.

I want to go to Somalia,
And help to feed the poor.
I want to go to China,
And the Great Wall I want to tour.

I want to go to Lanaken,
And find my true love’s face.
I want to go to Italy,
And give the cheese a taste.

I want to go to London,
And write my fantasies.
I want to go to Spain,
And sail the seven seas.

I want to dream my own dreams,
And travel far and wide.
I don’t want someone else’s,
I don’t want to hide.

I beg of you to set me free,
To reach the stars above.
Let me keep on dreaming,
Of doing things I love.

A/N: My parents don't want me to do my own thing when it comes to my dreams. They want me to earn money by doing a job that I don't love. They want me to be anurse and live forever in the United States while I dream of becoming a writer or an artist or a kindergarten teacherorjoining Doctor's Without Borders. But Ican't tell them that because it will break their hearts. I'mexpressing my dreams on poetry instead. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, I forever bury my dreams in the earth's crust.
