Envy

AN/ this really is completely random, but there are parts that are literal, laced with subtle intentions and violence…and other sections that make no sense, even to myself. Please read and review.

“Jesus Christ,” I breathe out
With this sickle in my hand

The numbers have been read,
The lottery is done.
Karl Marx is dead,
My grave is dug,
My goose is cooked,
My ears are shut.

The conquistador pause
Before my baby died
Screaming in my arms
Spine snapped in half and
The luxuries of a fascist nation
Screaming to be bred.

I’ve met you once before;
I’ve met you in my bed,
In my dreams
In the stars
In your eyes.

I’ve bowed before the same
False Gods and
Struck at the heels of
The same giants,
The very chaos you yearn to create.

I’ve torn the earth from my fingernails
But I can’t get this blood from my hands.

I’ve fed you my poison;
This time’s it’s lethal.

Your girlfriend may shake her beautiful head
But her mascara stains
Can’t revive
Your
Teeth
From
My
Throat.

I’ll steal you on prom night, fuck you in the backset,
And leave that pretty one
Pining alone
Bleeding on the ballroom floor.

It’s Murder at the Disco tonight,
Ladies and gents,
This time I’m the star and you’re shooting.

I hope her car dies at 2 am on the lonely interstate
I hope her vision of God betrays her and rapes her.
I hope her back rips in 57 places,
Each a stitch in her beauty,
Each a strain of my envy,

Each a dream unfulfilled.
