While You Were Sleeping

By Storm December

Disclaimer: This is MINE do NOT use without MY permission!

While you were sleeping,

Darkness crept in,

It swallowed you with sadness, sorrow, and despair

--

While you were sleeping,

Darkness stole your heart,

Sucked it dry and tore you apart

--

While you were sleeping,

It erased your thoughts,

Stole your fondest memories and now you’ve forgot

--

While you were sleeping,

It stole your dreams,

Now there’s nothing to look forward to or pretend

--

While you were sleeping,

It took your love,

Who then was but a memory but now is no more

--

While you were sleeping,

It all went away,

No goodbye no farewell it just disappeared

--

While you were sleeping,

It watched you in bed,

No one to love you and feeling uncared

--

While you were sleeping,

It stole your soul,

And left you there cold and alone

No one to mourn you, no one to cry,

To give you a kiss and say goodbye

--

While you were sleeping,

No one was there,

To save you from the darkness

That took the baby girl

But don’t cry now, don’t shed a tear

Because while I was sleeping,

It stole me as well
