It Wasn’t Just Me
By Storm December
Disclaimer: This is MINE do NOT use without MY permission!
The seasons pass, the seasons changes
But it doesn’t matter any way
---
My head’s always up in a cloud, or
In a book, or between the pillows on my bed
Anywhere but straight ahead
Guess that’s why I bump and stumble
On the road in front of me
But if I looked ahead I’d see,
That it wasn’t just me
---
But I’m still between the pillows on my bed,
Or in a book, or in a cloud,
That looks to me to be, a maiden or a prince
Anything from a fairy tale
To keep me from the world I’m in
A fairy tale may not be real,
But it takes the place of the pain I feel
And though a dream maybe pretend,
I’m the one to make it end
I like to keep myself in a dream like state,
Where nothing can go wrong,
And my heart cannot brake, while my life passes me by
I guess that is sort of wrong in a way
---
But what do I care,
I’m still between the pillows of my bed,
Or in a cloud, or in a book
Eyes still no straight ahead
Guess that why I bump and stumble
On the road in front of me
But if I looked ahead I’d see,
That it wasn’t just me
---
To bad it’s to late, and I’ve past away
‘Cause I thought I’d be happy, in a dream eternally
---
But if I looked ahead I’d see,
That it wasn’t just me
