Boredom

Boredom seeps throughout my body

Like poison flowing through ones blood

Lying flat on my back atop my bed

While the music pours full blast

Out of the radio beside me

Wishing there was something I could do,

Somewhere I could go

But paralysis has taken control over me

Here I lay motionless, useless to the world

My room is filled with objects from the past,

Present, and the future yet to come

There is no room left to place anything

Except for in the void I have become

I lie here wondering if tomorrow will be different

As the radio shuts off, I jump off my bed

Then leave my room thinking:

“ Yeah right, this is Hobbs.”
