i in turn
whispered sweet melodies
near his soft shelled ear,
pretending i was a whore
speak to me of sunshine walks
in parks of green, and butterflies
imagined to alight upon open flowers
in sunset breezes,
and of course,
the night romps by the sea
sand crawling up between our toes
then receding, flying through the air
with each knee bend reflecting moonlight
as if it could take place of golden hair
quiet, and delicate my feet tread
in the night i left him
head floating with the calm aftershocks
of deeds that cannot be undone
every other woman has a father,
her first true love
and in his name i found another,
returning to his pale head deep in sleep
sliding deep into his warmth
i breathed
everything will be alright
