silence in stereo

-‘-

she’s resting her head
on my shoulder
he grazes my elbow
as his curls
are intertwined
with hers

the four of us
strung under the sun
shared earpiece
to the music
of the moment

cause it’s a bittersweet…
symphony, that’s life ...'

and as we lay
so silently content
i realize
this

-‘-

is my favorite soundtrack
of all.

-,-

a.n. – the italic song line was taken from The Verve’s ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ – one of the songs that mumbled through the mp3 player during our nap under the sun.
