“True Wonder"

You wonder why I hide

You wonder why I lie

You wonder why I scream at you

Why I won’t even look you in the eye

You wonder why everyday I cry

You wonder why I wish you would just say good-bye

You wonder why I almost wish you would die

Why I hate you?

You don’t trust me!

You never listen to a thing I say!

I try and open up

Then your accusations chase me away

You yell at me

You scream at me

Then you push me into another breakdown

You look down on me

You never once helped me from the ground!

Yet, you give me no lee-way

I have no space

If I make a small error

Then you get all in my face

Saying I’m my mother’s disgrace

I’m not my mother

But I can’t take much more!

You wonder why I think less of you?

You won’t let me go through another door

I’m sick of being stuck here

I can’t even love you anymore!
