What You Did

By NationChild

Created on May 13th, 2006

This poem is for my mom. Happy Mothers’ Day, mom!

Here I am, a normal teen

Or a child, maybe in between

But no matter what, believe me, I know

How much you have done to help me grow

You picked me up, when no one else would

You made me smile, when I thought that I never could

There I was, unwanted and alone

Until you came and took me home

You taught me to judge, what is right

Although sometimes, I get in a fight

Now here I am, a normal teen

Or a child, maybe in between

And now and forever, I will always be

An eternally grateful one of the family

But this I know, and I will not kid

I know very well what you did
