Question

If the world is only a game of chance
And we are so inconsequential
In this whirling, twirling dance,
Why are we still the center of the universe?

A particle and atom stew
Makes up the beings of me and you
And all the creatures, rocks, trees too,
Each quark once in the same bright star
Or spiritual Being if that's the way you are.
If all from one, then who's to say
If we turned out better, anyway?

Why must we be in constant strife
With the very forces that give us life?
We battle men, each other, nature;
We war with creatures and
Defy physics just for the thrill.

We say we only want to understand
But is that really the grand plan?
Is it for knowledge, or is it for Man?
Do we struggle to keep our status,
To rule as God,
To be the focus?
Look deep within,
I think you'll find the answer.
Light moves fast, but Conscience is faster
