Verse 1

Digging holes

Of hatred

So we can push another in

And defeat the evil of their skin

Why the hell

Are we in a rush?

To proclaim

“Death to those who aren’t like us”

Chorus

Some cry

Some scream

Outraged, full of fear

For the changes that we crave

But all our tears

Will only serve to wash our graves

Verse 2

We try to erase all the fine lines

That separate us

But just the same, in our minds

We trace them over a thousand times

On the alter of ignorance

We sacrifice our Humanity

Wash it clean

And offer up our Sanity

Chorus

Some cry

Some scream

Outraged, full of fear

For the changes that we crave

But all our tears

Will only serve to wash our graves

Verse 3

Innocence lost

Nothing gained

The minds of scholars are too dull

The eyes of children are too full

We’re standing still

The world is moving on

The past is bright

The future’s gone

Chorus

Some cry

Some scream

Outraged, full of fear

For the changes that we crave

But all our tears

Will only serve to wash our graves

Bridge

We cry our tears

But no one hears

We wash our graves

But they’re never clean

We’re never clean

We can’t wash the world

Of blood or hatred

Of guilt or fear

Our graves are never clean
