A/N: Well, well! I never thought the day would come, but there you have it: My first piece of poetry on Fictionpress. I'm not really good at poetry, and this one was written 2 years ago..so I humbly apologize if it isn't really..well, flowing and stuff that poems are supposed to be.

I found it while browsing through my old blog, and it triggered a lot of memories. I was bullied in school 2 years ago, and it got to me so much that my emotions boiled over. I sat down, took up a pencil and my emotions flowed out of me, unceasing, and took the form of this poem.

I'm sorry for the horrendously long Author's Note. I couldn't resist giving some background information. xD Without further ado, please read and review! (Hey that rhymes!)

Loneliness, depressing me
Insincerity, surrounding me
Insecurity, consuming me
Lethargy, weakening me
Animosity, frightening me

But friendship infuses me
With strength and courage
For all of eternity
Regardless of age
Won't fall to the enemy
I'll fight for me
’Cos none other than me
Can shape my destiny

I know I am afraid
But I'm not alone
Destiny I will create
And not just my own
I have the power
I see the lightning
I will not cower
I'll keep on dreaming

You will try to defeat me
Make me submit
I'll make you all see
I'll never quit
I will not surrender
Won't wave the white flag
I will not go under
So live with this fact

This life belongs to me
Past and future included
I deserve to be free
Not caged and grounded
For who are you to judge me

Who are you to say no?

You’re no different from me

It’s a truth we all know

Firespirit to the death
And firespirit I'll stay
Fighting till my last breath
Won't have it any other way.
