Hopeful

I’m sittin’ here and my hair smells good

And I realize that it’s alright

My life is good even misunderstood

And maybe now I can see the light

The rain is tasty in my bed

And the flashes of thunder don’t scare me

The night is falling and my chair finds a way to spin

My head is empty but my lips look good

Painted red with natural glow

I like this underwear less look

Next time when I wake up in bed

I’ll look over to hear the phone ring

But I’ll be too busy to answer
