Thank You Lord, for life anew
because now I see the world
in all its glorious light.

Thank You for the blood shed
by Your son that fateful day
that marked a new beginning.
New life for all with eyes to see
with ears to hear…
with hearts to hope.

Thank You for the storms that come.
Thank You for clear skies.
The plants that grow,
the birds that sing,
and every season in its turn.

Thank You for my friends,
for without them I am lost.
The ones that barely know me,
the ones that mean the most.

Thank You for my enemies,
who teach me to be grateful.
Teach me lessons of mistakes I’ve made
and how to prevent further.

Thank You for the clouds that come,
and the weather they bring with them.
Thank You for the sun and moon.
The stars
the sky
the rain.

Thank You for my family,
even those I’d do without.
My closest ones,
my farthest ones,
those who’s name I do not know.

Thank You for my soul mates,
those with fur that came and went.
Thank You for those without,
the earliest, recent, and new.

Thank You for my life¸ Oh Lord,
the ups and downs and stalemates.
My childhood, my present life,
my future and Rebirth.

Thank You for the pain that marked
the path that led to You.
The smallest signs, the reddest flags,
the line that marked my goal.

Thank You for the chance to help
those who need You most.
I ask to have the chance again.
To be Your feet to go,
Your eyes to see
Your words to speak.

Thank You for your son, My God,
the deeds which he accomplished.
The miracles, the hope dispersed,
the price he paid so we might not,
paid with death in full.

And thank You, God,
Oh Lord,
I Am,
My Father who art in heaven.
Thank You for You.
