Spill Your Soul

Lonely is the little girl in the corner of her room
Letting herself become engulfed by her solemn gloom
She cries her silent tears, none of which are gay
And practices solitarily many a’forgotten way

She never lets anyone she doesn’t already know
Get underneath her skin, get way down below
She sees the pleasant people, all only passersby
She wishes she was one of them, she wishes she was a lie

Because, of course, they live their lies, and go their separate ways
The liars and the cheaters get praised all of their days
Never have a girl’s tears been so strong and pure
Because with today’s society, the future looks unsure

Let her cry all alone, no one stops to help
She slowly passes on with one last quivering yelp
