“Dylan, come one! It’s already time for the last dance and you haven’t stepped foot on the dance floor all night! And it’s raining out here!” Keira exclaimed as she tried to persuade the blonde haired boy who was sitting behind the bushes. “You could get sick!”

“Hmph!” was all that came out of Dylan’s mouth.

“Come on! I’m getting wet here! Can’t you at least answer me with more than one syllable?”

“Go away.”

“Dylan!” her dress was soaked by now and his suit was too yet he couldn’t care less.

“What?! That was three syllables!” Dylan exasperatedly replied.

“This is the very last dance for the night and the day after tomorrow is the day you walk out of this campus forever! Don’t you want to at least cherish your last few moments here at the academy?” Keira was somehow desperate yet mostly irritated by now, not only because of her stubborn companion but also because of what she probably looked like. “Stupid weather “she thought.

“Look orange-panties girl−”

“Shut up! I have a name too you know!” Keira blushed, interrupting Dylan yet he ignored her.

“Its already enough torture for me to be obliged to attend this stupid graduation ball, added by the fact that the moment I stepped out of my dormitory, I got ambushed by a million girls which happens every effing day. So if you ask me, I don’t really want to remember any kind of memory whatsoever from this hell hole I’ve been living in for eight years. Now get out of here and go back to that stupid dance so you could leave me alone.”

“Don’t tell me what to do! And besides, won’t you miss the people here? I mean I know most of the girls annoy you by chasing after you but I’m sure there are some people here whom you’re somehow fond of.” Keira replied as she sounded like his answer somehow mattered to her.

“Oh please. It’s not like I’d really miss the bigheads and wannabes that make up most of the student population.” Dylan said nonchalantly.

There was a long pause, and Keira didn’t answer him. Receiving that kind of reaction from her was quite a shock to him, and he was starting to get worried.

“So you won’t miss me then?” she suddenly asked, surprising him. He turned to look at her yet he couldn’t see a single expression on her face since she neither smiled nor frowned, and her bangs covered her lovely, cobalt blue eyes which usually showed her emotions.

“Keira” Dylan hated to admit it, but he felt guilty for being tactless and it worried him that his statement actually affected her.

“No, look its okay. At least I know where you stand. You’ve just made everything clear to me.” Her voice was crackling and tears formed in her eyes as they threatened to come out anytime soon. “Well I guess I won’t be seeing you soon then. Goodbye.” She turned her back on him so he wouldn’t see the teardrop that fell on her cheek. Yet as she was about to walk away, a strong hand firmly gripped her left arm.

“What?!” she turned, obviously annoyed yet his hazel brown eyes met hers and they looked into them. “Gosh his eyes are beautiful” she thought to herself.

He let go of her and then held out his palms to the rain that poured on them.

“What are you doing?” Keira asked, wondering what Dylan was up to.

“I’m trying to catch some raindrops.”

“Why would you want to do that?” she thought it was strange but it made her smile anyway.

“It doesn’t matter! Join me!” he said with a small smile on his face.

Keira held out her hands and imitated Dylan. She didn’t know why they were doing this, yet she did what she was told anyway for awhile and after what seemed like an eternity under the rain, Dylan said “Now count the raindrops that you caught.”

She looked at her hands and said “I didn’t really catch that many. It’s pretty hard, you know.”

“Well” he said, looking up at the grey colored sky as more drops fell on his face. “The drops that I caught show how much I care for you.”

“Hey that isn’t very much!” Keira complained, sticking her tongue out.

“But the raindrops I didn’t catch” he continued, ignoring her once again. “They show much I love you.”

“W-what?” Keira stuttered, obviously dumbfounded by what he just said.

“Nevermind.”

“No, tell me!”

“I won’t repeat what I said. Now leave me alone.”

“Come on! I didn’t hear you very well! Now say it again!”

“No. It’s not my fault you didn’t hear me. Clean your ears next time, orange-panties girl.”

“I won’t stop whining until you tell me. Dylan! Just tell me will y−”

Dylan then interrupted her with a kiss.
