She’ll Get Another One

Why? Was the question on her lips, wanting,
Wanting an answer for her broken heart,
A heart that lost it’s innocence,
Innocence taken away with the snap of a finger,
All I had to do was tell her she shouldn’t,

Oh, but no one knows how hard it is,
To predict the future, I’m not magic,
I didn’t know they would let go of it,
That thing that made her eyes sparkle
When she talked about him, like he was a god,

When she asked if she should do it,
Follow you heart was what I said,
Stupid, I know that now, if I didn’t before,
She followed the illusions put in front of her,
She couldn’t see that it would end like it did,

She broke it off, before he got the chance,
Left him in tears, oh, she took a look back,
But what could she do for his tears,
She thought it was love, says she was blind,
How could you be blind and still see it was wrong?

She was crying with him when she said bye,
No good for the innocence lost,
Her virgin heart taken away at such a young age,
I knew that it was too young, but I couldn’t tell her
That she shouldn’t, when she wanted it so bad and knew it,

Once away she’s normal, like it never happened,
Like she was still a virgin in all our eyes,
She told me I should have told her not to,
Stupid, that I didn’t, though she’d do it anyway,
She’s like that, she’ll get another one before the day’s over.

A/N: this is about my friend that lost her virginity to a guy and before she had asked me if she should. like the poem says i said follow your heart. well, just a couple days ago she broke up with him and now she's normal and chasing after random guys. yep, that's my BFF.
