Puppet Strings

When back when if I was bored

There was a game I used to play

This game was lots of tons of fun

I played it every single day

I hooked myself to puppet strings

And laughed and danced and sang

A duel? Touché! I saved the day

And left behind my gnawing pain

To much to much until I saw

That my game was not all fun

And soon I came to realize that

My game could not be ever won

I filled my life with nasty things

That bit and scratched and screamed

And made my waking days a hell

I never would have ever dreamed

So now I’m very sad inside

And driven to the very end

Cause when you’re hooked to puppet strings

Your mind will never be your friend
