Don’t get me wrong
I’ve always seen the glass
Half full, to completely fill
I would never pass

Last night I looked into your eyes
Grass green, with a hint of stormy blue
Simply gazing at each other
I wonder what I did to be with you

The butterflies from my stomach
Have now flown to my heart
Your touch gives me shivers
And I know this is only the start

You stalk my daydreams
Make simple pleasures breathtaking
Holding me in your arms
Nothing for this I will be forsaking

We tell each others deepest secrets
All your promises you will keep
If you’re not lying next to me
It will be miles to go before I sleep

And the future seems not so far
As you have spoken to me your heart
I am the One for you, you tell me
And you wish for us to never part

Love doesn’t pay the rent
But with the love you give me
Money seems superfluous, and
It’s a promising future that I see
