The Worst Things To Be Used To
She used to cry,
She used to scream,
Beg to be let go of.
He watched her body shake,
Her tremors of pain.
And still
He did nothing.
Now
She has fallen silent,
Grown accustomed.
There is no pain
Strong enough
To make her shake.
