Let me tell you a story

Of someone I know

This is how it goes...

She was a perfect girl

Happy and innocent

In her perfect world

Then he came along

She thought that he was the one

That they were destined to be

And that's what she believed

He dumped her for someone else

And left her by herself

He messed up her life

And left her there to cry

Now she's broken inside

What happened to her perfect world?

What happened to the perfect girl?

Now she's a mess, always depressed

Trying to survive through all the stress

Her dreams were crushed to pieces

She couldn't find a reason to live

Her life was filled with hurt and pain

The lonliness nearly drove her insane

Her head hurt and she was so confused

Her heart ached and she felt so reused

She didn't know what to do or where to go

'Cause she was about to give birth to their little girl

What happened to her perfect world?

What happened to the perfect girl?

Now she's a mess, always depressed

Trying to survive through all the stress

I live with the girl that was once perfect today

Deep down inside, she's still perfect to this day

He never found out that they had a girl

But that's how she wanted it to be

And that baby girl grew up to be me
