A Stormy Night by CL Gingerich
The breeze drifted by, staring tense
The air heaved with the weight of Atlas
No where were there birds flying
Nor peeps or crickets chirping
The sky was dark with gloom
Gathering
Lightning struck across the clouds
The Thunder god lashed his bolts
The trees shook and turned up leaves
To guard against the coming volts
The night was dark with doom
Falling
Not a star in the black sea glimmered
But a small light beam shimmered
Torn through the dark night sky
Lighting upon the storming sea
The cliff rose as a tomb
Crashing
The moon won't peak out tonight
Fearing to be swallowed by Posideon
And tossed against the sheer rock face
Nothing lives outside tonight
Amist the titans
Laughing
