The kingdom of Drakonia was once a magical and peaceful kingdom where every citizen prospered. The peace was upheld by a legendary race of heroes known as the Dragon Knights, courageous warriors who fought alongside dragons to quell any threat to the kingdom. But a millennium ago, a dark force the likes of which had never been seen before and hasn’t been seen since, came to Drakonia and slaughtered every last dragon and Dragon Knight. The dark power left as swiftly and silently as it had come, but without its protectors, the kingdom slipped into darkness.

Now bandits roam the roads, waylaying any travelers they come upon. Wizards wage wars against each other which leave the countryside scorched and devastated. Monsters abound in the wilderness, and nobody ventures outside after dark. Amid all this chaos, one man becomes a mercenary to help his people. Throughout his adventures, he will make many friends and many more enemies, discover his destiny and his mysterious link to the long-dead heroes of old…
