I saw a pool of peace,
reflected nothing but the sky.
Blue expansion, horizon to horizon.
No war, no hate, no death.
A haven from the chaos,
stillness stretching beyond the stars.

I felt a thousand feathers floating
into eternity; a delicate white wall.
Soft as the starlit sand,
and the gentle touch of the sun's kiss
when the swirling snow has drifted deep,
agolden respite from the harsh gnawing cold.

A burst of energy, a pulse of light
sends me swooping among the wonders.
I am part of this perfect world,
interlocked with strands of silk,
alive with flowing power, liquid crystal.

I long to stay forever.
But I am called to depart,
return to reality. I open my eyes,
and leave the cradle of dreams.
