dicing

remember?
no I don’t.

(we’re stuck on repeat
& i still haven’t figured out
what you want from me)

dicing – as we used to do
as we still do, sitting up
at counters and bars and
pulling out pulling in
we lose track of the drinks
till i look around
at the time
and realize it’s just me

how
dare
you?
how dare you?

sweetie,
you got lucky
(remember?
no I don’t.)

author's notes: maybe this doesn't apply anymore. i have just felt so vindictive and angry and frustrated lately, and i had to get it out. i feel so powerless to do anything, and i feel like i've just noticed that we're all sliding, sliding, sliding, and one day we are all going to fall. and i can't do a damn thing to stop it.
