Fake Smile

My thoughts consist of nothing but blackness

My Heart has been broken in more than one way

People I cared for, didn't.

They never did.

They walkedall over me, knowing I wouldn't mind.

It cut deep into me, like being stabbed repeatedly.

I never knew it could hurt so much

I never knew I could feel so betrayed

But still put a fake smile on

It isn't right, it never was

But I couldn't say no

I couldn't stop the pain

So in truth, it's my fault

I have created the monsters before me

One day I'll prove to the world

I can say no!

I'll prove I can lead

And hopefully one day, they'll listen and truly start to care.
