Begone, thou chains of cruel abuses past.
Can not life live in caring company?
In peace, and love, et cetera ad nauseam?
'tis simpler not to hate, and not to split.
Why spend ourselves in self-impairing strife
In carving chasms out of solid rock?
It takes great effort to become aloof
And yet, straight from the greatest of all ghosts,
"It is not good for man to be alone."
