You make yourself so stressed,
So musically obsessed,
Sometimes you forget,
that we've already been impressed.

A smile, a grin,
You're getting thin.

Mixed signals in every stare,
Maybe you'll notice that there's something there -

When we bump shoulders in the hall,
You climb so high that when you fall

There won't be anyone to catch you.

You complain that you're lonely,
as if you're not the only

Person who feels they've endlessly waited,
Stepped outside surprised to find everyone's jaded,
Feeling cheated in this world that's becoming overrated,
Trusting those who never tried,
Being popularly persuaded.

Isn't it all you ever wanted?
You have it in your hands,
go ahead and flaunt it.

Keep your head phones on and just block out the sound,
Ignore that I'm caring - soon I won't be around.

Because you seem to not notice that everyone cares,
that girls bat their eyelashes whenver they stare,
And I can't help but find that it's so fucking unfair --

That I just happen to be one of them.
