She's not just another pretty face,
Not another hopeless case,
She's just tryin' to find a place
In this broken world.

Her momma yells at her every night,
But daddy's always there to say 'It's alright',
and 'Soon we're gonna run away
From this broken world'.

In this broken world we're all alone,
No family to hold,
No place to call home.
But we need each other
To get us through,
Hold on to one another,
And we'll make it...

Teenage boys can be so cruel
He gets teased by them at school
Thick glasses and braces are just not cool
In this broken world.

As he walks home he tries to hide
The bruises and the pain inside.
No one says 'It'll be okay
In this broken world'.

In this broken world we're all alone,
No family to hold,
No place to call home.
But we need each other
To get us through,
Hold on to one another,
And we'll make it...

Please, say we'll make it...
