Whatcahmacallme: This is a short thing written in honor of Memorial Day. It is dedicated to my Daddy, because he’s the proudest Marine I know. I’m American, so when I say ‘the men and women’ I mean the Americans unless I specify otherwise.
What can I say that will show my gratitude for all they have done for me? The men and women who made the Revolutionary War possible, I thank them. I thank them because they made it possible for me to worship my God in any way I wish. I thank the men and women who fell in the Civil War. I thank them because they helped set the slaves free. I thank all the other men and women in countless battles and wars that fell to their enemies blades. I thank those that are in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Iran, and Iraq; they’ve fought for their country loyally. I thank those who protected my freedom; where would I be without them?
Because everyone knows:
Freedom is not Free.
