Reborn Through Pain

When you look at my arms
Your eyes will behold numerous scars
They show the pains I’ve lived through
And the ones I didn’t want to

When you look into my eyes
You’ll behold who I truly am
You’ll unmask my façades and lies
You’ll understand what I really mean

When you hold me in your arms
You’ll feel me lean against your chest
You’ll know I’m listening to your heart
Wondering if it’s for me that it beats

When your lips meet mine in a kiss
You’ll feel a piece of my heart and soul
You’ll have to hold on to me tighter
As my knees go weak from your magic touch

When you hear me say I love you
Please believe me that it’s true
My lips wouldn’t dare utter such a lie
They wouldn’t toss around such a binding promise

When you look at my arms
Remember the scars
The pains that I endured and overcame
The symbolism of being reborn
