In a room full of people,

I’m always alone,

A shadow in the corner,

A ghost in my own home.

You say you don’t ignore me,

Then you turn away,

You don’t even hear me,

When I beg you to stay.

I have to yell to be heard,

And often I must repeat,

Why can’t you hear me?

Why do I seem so incomplete?

I wish I could walk in a room,

And have all eyes look my way,

I wonder what’s its like,

To be accepted everyday.

So I sit in the dark,

Always on my own,

Why can’t you see me?

Why did you leave me all alone?

Jolyn
