Death-Defying
I lie beneath you
Feeding, feeding
I lie beneath you
Waiting, watching
I see you as you sleep
I see your face
Its pale complexion
I lie in your arms
I do not want you
But I need you
I need you to exist
I lie beneath your eyes
Resting, caressing
You are all I need
You fuel my passion
You are my life and death
I am death, and life itself does not exist in my wake
You are my former self
And I watch you
I feed off you
You are what I used to be
I love you and I hate you
You are everything I was
And everything I am not
I do not want to admit it …
But you give me life in death
I am your death.
A/N: This isn’t meant to be dark, and it isn’t meant to be scary. My past poems which were actually just meant to entertain were reviewed as dark – and they weren’t. I don’t make dark poems. If you want to see dark then request it. I’ll show you something terrifying … Anyway; please don’t say that it’s dark, because it’s not supposed to be. It’s meant to make you think. Please review though.
