So Soon We Lose Our Hearts

By: Sara C Thurmond

Date: December 17, 2005

Lets watch as they pass by,

These beautiful girls so much desired.

The ones who always have a guy,

And no loneliness is acquired.

But here I sit and cry,

Wishing I could be beautiful too.

I want to die,

Instead of wanting you.

These tears that never dry,

The pain that will never leave.

With another sad sigh,

And the looks I receive.

So soon we lose our hearts,

We're left bitter and cold.

So soon love departs,

And let us grow lonely and old.

This longing I have within me,
That wants for something more.

It never is going to be,

More than a folklore.

I can never have the one,

Whom heals all wounds.

I never will be done-

With all my sad love tunes.

Bitter feelings of past

And long ago.

Wish it would go fast,

Wish it wasn't so.

So soon we lose our hearts,

We're left so empty inside.

So soon love departs,

And we just want to hide.

A wishful thought

Of want that never can be healed.

One more tear that's dropped

Yet the pain still isn't revealed.

I though she loved me so,

I thought he wanted me.

I thought I would know,

When it was meant to be.

So many faces

Into my past.

So many places,

That could not last.

So soon we lose our hearts-

Wish for nothing more.

Then true love departs,

And our hearts are deeply torn.

So soon we lose our hearts,

To someone so pretty to all eyes.

So soon love departs,

And we're left with nothing but lies.

So soon we lose our hearts.

So soon we lose our hearts.

So soon… We lose….. our… hearts.
