This is my first poem/story thing. This is about my grandma dying, so, yeah, here it goes and tell me what you think please!!!

Day After Day

They lie to me day after day.

Why?
They tell me she’s fine but she’s not.

Her life is slipping away day after meaningless day.

She can’t fight much longer

Because the brightly lit candle in her heart

Will soon be extinguished.

Day after day

I wait for them to tell me she’s moved on.

All I hear is ‘She’s fine.’

They are lying.

Because day after day

They say the same thing.

I’m sick of them saying ‘She’s fine.’

Her face has lost its color that it once held.

She was once happy and cheerful.

Now she just stares out into empty space.

Day after day I worry and wait till they tell me the truth.

They finally told me the truth.

She left the world she loved.

She left the people she loved.

She left me.

Click that button down there and tell me what you think!!!!
