You left her, because she was familiar and turned to me with a question in your eyes

Yes…

But the why eludes me my control eludes me

Our lips crash with a joyous euphony

And I awake from a nightmare full of smiles and love and full of you

Your smile for me

Your love for me

but we dare not touch for fear of her tears

Will it never be?

Will we ever be deaf to the cacophony of her sobs?

Idon’t think so.

The only time our hearts show is in the sparse minute between classes

and in my dreams Do you do the same, I’d wondered

Do you close your eyes and remember the smell of my shampoo?

the way I laugh the way I held you close to say goodbye or do you see her?

Is that why you didn’t wait for me this morning?

and at lunch?

Because she had smiled at you like I do?…I did?

You said you wanted to be with me, so why were your lips on hers?

Shortly after writing this, the two other people mentioned decided to get back together, so I guess that dilemma’s resolved! (--)’
