Consuming night,

No moon in sight,

What I never thought could see

Hate,

Demons make and take,

None I never knew,

Night used to give me flight,

And rain used to make me strong,

Sorrow was for tomorrow,

Hurt never lingered long,

And I could fight like a wild breast,

But now…

Night brings fear,

Rain drizzling pain,

And big red stains,

Concrete around my ankles,

Dragging me down,

World melting all around,
