A tale told ‘round the world since ages gone.

A story in the Bible written down.

The fall of Satan and his work since then,

But first the part where all the world began.

All this and more is written with a twist,

Told by a being who does not exist.

A trip to Heaven, then to Hell, and back;

A plea for help from Satan, and attack.

A vampire sees it all and goes insane

But tells the story later straight and plain.

To read the book excited me and then

Reminded me that we can be mistaken.

I read it with an open-minded view

Then turned back to my faith with hope anew.

A/N: The last line is BS, but I needed an end to the couplet. I had to write abouta favoritework of art (literary, visual, audial, whatever) and how it affected me. I don't have favorites, but I decided tow rite about Anne Rice's Memnoch the Devil. It's not a FAN-FIC, but... it was about it. So I'll prolly put it on , too.
