(A/N: honestly...?)

Liar

”This just can’t be love!” he cried, afraid of twists of fate.
Scared he can’t provide enough, and worried it’s too late.
Neither wants to be set up to be the heart that bleeds.
She can’t seem to let him go, and he can’t seem to leave.
And how she sleeps with other guys, and how he chases skirts;
both in semitones aware of how the other hurts.

But he said; “sorry”
and she asked “why?”
Because he’s paranoid, she’s paranoid.
She lies, she lies, she lies.

She always told him; “I want nothing.”
And he did not believe her sigh
because he’s paranoid, she’s paranoid.
She lies, she lies, she lies.

There’s no faith left in honesty, she’s crushed under the weight.
Scared to death to fall in love, and worried it’s too late.
Lying, lying, losing weight, she’s turning pale and gaunt.
She says there’s nothing in this world that she could ever want.
And so, to be attached is everything they think they dread…
In truth, should she be anywhere, her choice’d be in his bed.

Kissing on the driveway,
creeping dawn in both their eyes,
it isn’t love, it can’t be love
she lies, she lies, she lies.

Hard to let each other go,
she holds him closer more she tries.
She’s transparent so that he can see
she lies, she lies, she lies.

She says she wants to end the pain,
and trade with him goodbyes.
Say’s she’d never play this game again.
She lies, she lies, she lies.

Say’s it’s painless fun to fool around,
to sleep with other guys…
”It means nothing that they aren’t him…”
She lies, she lies, she lies.

He says he’s scared to hurt her, it’s an awful thought he hates.
He wants these feelings to dissipate, but thinks that it’s too late.
She’s on a plane so far away, he dances in her mind,
paranoid to follow love, yet following it blind.
Theirs is just another fear so classified by youth.
The truth is that he’d run from her if she revealed the truth.

And put it off, and put it off until another date.
She lies and lies and lies again. The truth is, it’s too late.
